For anyone who's scanned through my blog posts lately, you might have noticed something a little odd: the absence of images. There might be many awkward spots where it seems like there's supposed to be a picture, but there ends up just being an empty space. Well, there's a reason for that. I read through… Continue reading The Absence of Images
If you've visited my blog before, you might notice that it looks a little different. Yesterday, it looked like this: Now, it looks...completely different. Typically, I'm not big on change. Redesigning my blog was more my sister's idea. She enjoys changing things up a bit. Even growing up, I didn't change my environment very much.… Continue reading The Routine Goddess
Hello, it's me... Yes, it's been so long since my last post that Adele lyrics are required to help us get reacquainted. My last post was in December, for goodness sake! So much has happened during these last few months. For one thing, it's 2016 instead of 2015. ...and that's about all I can think… Continue reading Hello, it’s me…
Hello, blog world! It’s been a while. In fact, I’ve almost let the entire month of August pass without attending to my blog. But it’s all good because my sister Molly has me covered. She created a blog titled “The Pretty and the Plain” this past month, and here is her second blog post. Go check it out! 😀
Not only is today “Flashback Friday,” it is also the last Friday of summer vacation. That’s right. Next week I will be re-entering the world of late nights, early(ish) mornings, papers, exams, coffee runs, and moments of near insanity. As I prepare for this coming semester, both physically and mentally, I can’t help but think of the good ‘ole days in elementary school. Back then, the most I had to worry about was learning my letters and making sure not to pee my pants in front of my class. Or, bursting into tears because I unexpectedly spotted my kindergarten crush in the school library. (Yes, that happened). Anyways, back to the point, and away from embarrassing stories about my childhood: Here is a list of some of the things I miss most from my pre-college days. Let the flashback begin!

Exactly one year ago, I started this blog! This month is also the anniversary of getting my job at the public library where I work and of getting officially accepted into graduate school. Oh, what changes have happened since starting this blog! I can hardly believe I've been coming up with posts for a year. When… Continue reading One Year Anniversary!
Yesterday while attending the Medieval Fair in Norman, Oklahoma, I probably had more fun than a normal grown-up should have. For one thing, I got to ride a horse. This might surprise some, but I've lived in Oklahoma my entire life and have only ridden a horse twice (yesterday included). My excitement could not be… Continue reading My Nerdy Artifacts
Sometimes I get in a weird mood and want to go through all the pins on my Pinterest account, deleting the ones that I'm not too fond of anymore. I have a total of 16 boards on my Pinterest page which cover everything from books and crocheting to card-making and home-decorating. Out of all my… Continue reading My Pinterest-ingly Odd Sense of Humor
Something super exciting happened to me last week! As you've probably guessed, my blog was nominated for a Liebster Award by the wonderful Sophia, author of The Good Life blog. As a newbie blogger, I'm extremely flattered by this nomination. Thank you, Sophia! "Liebster" is a German word, meaning: sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant,… Continue reading Liebster Award!
Everyone has a bucket list, right? Even if they don't write them down, surely everyone has things they'd like to accomplish or experience in their lifetime. I must admit, most of my bucket list items are quite silly. Besides running in a 5k, taking a pottery class, and riding in a hot air balloon, I… Continue reading Daydream Bucket List
Hello, all! Welcome to my first blog post, which I am very excited about. I've wanted to start a blog for awhile now, but could never think of a good title. I realize that this casts a sorry shadow on my creativity, but--in my defense--coming up with a few words to represent an entire collection… Continue reading New Beginnings
