I've recently realized a pattern in my blogging habits--the more I have to do, the more I want to blog. When I first started my blog (nearly three years ago!!!), I was also starting graduate school. As if I wouldn't already have enough to do, I added blogging to the list. That first month was… Continue reading The Blogging Cycle
Guys, I'm a little (or a lot) excited today because I wrote a guest post--my very first guest post--for the Nerdy Book Club blog, and it was published TODAY! It's so exciting to see my name posted in places other than on my blog or on the top of school assignments. The blog I wrote… Continue reading My First Guest Post! ~Nerdy Book Club
If you've visited my blog before, you might notice that it looks a little different. Yesterday, it looked like this: Now, it looks...completely different. Typically, I'm not big on change. Redesigning my blog was more my sister's idea. She enjoys changing things up a bit. Even growing up, I didn't change my environment very much.… Continue reading The Routine Goddess
Hello, it's me... Yes, it's been so long since my last post that Adele lyrics are required to help us get reacquainted. My last post was in December, for goodness sake! So much has happened during these last few months. For one thing, it's 2016 instead of 2015. ...and that's about all I can think… Continue reading Hello, it’s me…
Hello, blog world! It’s been a while. In fact, I’ve almost let the entire month of August pass without attending to my blog. But it’s all good because my sister Molly has me covered. She created a blog titled “The Pretty and the Plain” this past month, and here is her second blog post. Go check it out! 😀
Not only is today “Flashback Friday,” it is also the last Friday of summer vacation. That’s right. Next week I will be re-entering the world of late nights, early(ish) mornings, papers, exams, coffee runs, and moments of near insanity. As I prepare for this coming semester, both physically and mentally, I can’t help but think of the good ‘ole days in elementary school. Back then, the most I had to worry about was learning my letters and making sure not to pee my pants in front of my class. Or, bursting into tears because I unexpectedly spotted my kindergarten crush in the school library. (Yes, that happened). Anyways, back to the point, and away from embarrassing stories about my childhood: Here is a list of some of the things I miss most from my pre-college days. Let the flashback begin!

Over the past month, my blogging life has pretty much died--not completely, just mostly. I'm sure anyone keeping up with my blog has wondered if I've dropped off the face of the earth. And I have, partially. With the end of the spring semester, I'm not all here. I think the writing part of my… Continue reading Debra Fileta’s “5 Things to Do While You Wait on God”
Exactly one year ago, I started this blog! This month is also the anniversary of getting my job at the public library where I work and of getting officially accepted into graduate school. Oh, what changes have happened since starting this blog! I can hardly believe I've been coming up with posts for a year. When… Continue reading One Year Anniversary!
I have noticed a trend in my blogging habits lately: the quantity of posts has plummeted since the start of the new year. Last fall, I was doing pretty great--a blog a week and pretty proud of myself. But then during Christmas, I tasted the sweet freedom of no homework and ever since then I've… Continue reading The Satisfaction of Completed Crafts
Today while checking my Facebook page, I unexpectedly received a message from my sister which read, and I quote: "You need to do a new bloggedy blog, you blogger you!" I was extremely flattered by this message, realizing that one of my family members, at least, keeps up with my blog. But I also realized… Continue reading Jane Austen, Part 4: Movie Suggestions
I can hardly believe it's been over two weeks since my last blog post, and that I haven't even logged into my WordPress account during those two weeks. It's sad, really. I blame it on school and the horrible paper which is due tonight but which I turned in yesterday (praise the Lord!). I've thought… Continue reading Reading, Re-Reading, and a bit of Narnia
